Abstract
Aim: This review aims to analyze the current landscape of Electronic Health Records (EHRs), focusing on their integra-tion challenges, stakeholder dynamics, and the role of health-care analytics in improving patient care. Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conduct-ed, synthesizing findings from academic articles, government reports, and industry publications. Key topics explored include EHR integration standards, stakeholder concerns, and the im-pact of analytics on healthcare delivery. Results: The review highlights persistent challenges in achieving interoperability and data standardization across di-verse healthcare settings. Stakeholder perspectives—patients, providers, and purveyors—reveal varying priorities and con-cerns, from privacy issues to operational efficiencies. Insights into healthcare analytics underscore the potential for leverag-ing EHR data to enhance clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. Conclusion: Despite advancements in EHR adoption, sig-nificant barriers remain in achieving seamless integration and maximizing the benefits of healthcare analytics. Addressing these challenges requires collaborative efforts among poli-cymakers, healthcare providers, and information systems re-searchers. Future research should focus on developing adap-tive standards, enhancing data security measures, and fostering stakeholder engagement to realize the full potential of EHRs in transforming global healthcare systems.
