Abstract
The Ductus Arteriosus (DA) is arterial connection between the pulmonary artery and the aorta that shunts blood away from lung during fetal life. The ductus normally constricts shortly after birth and if it remains patent this results in a multitudes of morbidity and mortality in pediatric age group. In this paper, we will clarify the DA embryology, anatomy, histology, physiology, and complication and method treatment (if it remain patent).
